What it does
A phase shifter that re-triggers its sweep from each note attack instead of running a free LFO, with analog-modelled resonant filters that reach from wah-style sweeps to formant and bubbling textures. The $2.99 version is a single pedal with attack, hold, feedback, syrup, rate and position. The Pro unlock adds ten circuits, each with its own envelope and colour controls, a display, presets and a detail panel with gain, feedback ramp and stereo re-imaging.
In the demo
Jade plays guitar and iBassist over a drum loop in AUM, then switches to Pianoteq to show how light hits fail to trigger the envelope. She walks the Pro circuits, attack curve and syrup, tries a bell synth and drums, then bass and guitar loops in Logic.
Worth knowing
It needs transients, so pads and sustained sources get little out of it. The manual is thin; the circuit diagrams on the Quantovox site fill some of the gap.
