TELA

What it does

A sample library for the free Decent Sampler plugin, recorded from the neck pickup of a Fender Telecaster. Fifteen patches run from clean plucks, light drive and taped tones through formant shift, glitch, grains, swells, tails, clouds and ebow sustains to a destroyed setting. Each patch has tone, space, envelope and level controls.

In the demo

Jade opens with a piece in AUM built on four TELA tracks, then loads a fresh instance of Decent Sampler on iPad, shows how the library installs from Files, and plays through every patch on a keyboard. She ends with the free Fragments version, which carries four of the patches.

Worth knowing

It needs Decent Sampler, which is free on iOS, macOS, Windows and Linux, and the library is a 627 MB download. The Dark patch threw an error during the demo. Anyone after a realistic strummed or lead guitar will find this leans toward ambient and cinematic layers.
