What it does
A soundscape instrument that layers three sound sources per scene, each with its own oscillator, filter and envelope settings, drawn as rings you mute and balance by hand. Scenes come from a library of drones, pads, one-shots and instruments, save to hot keys, and a randomizer will assemble one outright. SynthScaper is the standalone Inter-App Audio version; SynthScaper LE is the AUv3, with knobs instead of the visual editor, and it imports scenes from the full app.
In the demo
Jade leans on the randomizer repeatedly, then walks the scene library through drones, pads, one-shots and split-keyboard instruments. She saves a favourite to a hot key, and runs five instances of LE in AUM to watch DSP climb past 70 percent.
Worth knowing
The two apps are bought separately and the deeper editing lives in the standalone. Layer stacking is heavy on CPU, so a few instances in a host will show.
