What it does
A free Apple sound pack built around 1990s and early 2000s UK garage: two-step beats, deep basslines, rave synths, risers, sub drops and vocal chops. In GarageBand on iOS it delivers more than 500 Apple Loops (446 MB). In Logic Pro on iPad and Mac the same loops come with ten Drum Machine Designer kits, 28 synth patches including Alchemy ambience designers, and a Live Loops grid (673 MB).
In the demo
Jade installs the pack in GarageBand on iPad, filters the loop browser down to Step Reflex and stacks a bass, kick and pad. She then opens Logic Pro, plays the Live Loops grid, randomizes a Drum Machine Designer pattern, and steps through the kits and synth patches.
Worth knowing
It is not offered for GarageBand on Mac, and the Logic Pro extras need Logic on iPad or Mac. The content is dance-focused, so anyone after guitar or singer-songwriter material is out of luck.
