What it does
A sound pack for SoundBox by AudioModern, split into four volumes: keys, plucks and organs; guitars and keys; vintage synthesizers; and electronic drums with FM percussion. That is 162 presets and 88 sound sources in total, about 2.3 GB, supplied as both WAV and FLAC. Each volume mixes single sounds with Combi presets that layer several of them, many with arpeggiators or mod wheel assignments.
In the demo
Jade imports the pack into SoundBox as an AUv3 in AUM, then plays through a sample of each volume from a keyboard: arp combis, basses, tremolo guitar, synth pads, and the drum kits triggered from a step sequencer. She points out how the IND (individual) sounds relate to the Combis.
Worth knowing
It needs SoundBox, a free download on iPad and desktop that only unlocks after buying a pack. Anyone wanting a standalone 80s instrument rather than a library is looking at the wrong product.
