Soul Serenity

What it does

A sample library for AudioModern’s SoundBox, aimed at meditation and ambient work. It holds 25 sound sources and 20 presets, all crafted with the Vital synthesiser, running to ethereal textures, slow pads and harmonic layers, and built to stay light on CPU. The presets behave like any other SoundBox pack, so sources can be switched off, swapped, layered with samples from other packs and run through the host’s effects rack.

In the demo

Jade imports the pack file into SoundBox inside AUM and plays the presets one after another, holding notes and chords so the movement inside each one is audible. She puts a gain stage in front first, because the samples came through quieter than the rest of her library.

Worth knowing

Everything here is slow and atmospheric, so anyone after playable leads or percussion is looking at the wrong pack. SoundBox is free to download but stays locked until one of its paid in-app packs is bought, and Soul Serenity is sold from Cinematic Alpha’s own site rather than in the app.
