Sonic Alchemy for DRC

What it does

A preset expansion sold as an in-app purchase inside DRC, Imaginando’s virtual analog polyphonic synth. It adds a bank of handcrafted patches running from shimmering pads and evolving textures through to gritty basses, leads and percussive noises. The patches are DRC programs, so every one stays editable and each can be flipped between unison, poly and mono voicing.

In the demo

Jade opens with four DRC instances stacked in AUM against a Playbeat rhythm, then shows the store panel inside DRC settings where the pack unlocks. The rest of the hour is a straight patch-by-patch runthrough played on a keyboard, with mod wheel movement on the patches that respond to it.

Worth knowing

The sounds skew strange and cinematic rather than conventional, so it suits soundscape and score work more than straight-ahead pop parts. It also needs DRC itself, which is a separate purchase.
