Semantika

What it does

A cinematic sound library for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler, with 10 source instruments across strings, woodwinds, brass and plucks plus 10 layered combis. It comes as a smaller 619 MB pack or a 1.9 GB WAV pack, imported into SoundBox on iPad or desktop.

In the demo

Jade opens with a chord progression running one individual sound and three combis, then imports the pack into SoundBox in AUM and plays every patch in turn: bass and guitar, cellos, bells, soft brass, harp, a pizzicato piano, then the combis, several of which bring in a fourth layer on the mod wheel.

Worth knowing

SoundBox itself is free but needs one AudioModern pack purchased to unlock fully. The sounds sit in the scoring and dark pop space, so anyone after bread-and-butter orchestral articulations is looking at a different kind of library.
