What it does
An emulation of a rotating speaker cabinet, with the horn and rotor speeds and the transition between them as the main controls. As with the rest of the Eventide iOS range there is more under the label than the name implies, and it runs standalone or as an AUv3.
In the demo
Jade keeps one project going with piano, a Playbeat 4 drum pattern and a live vocal, and passes every Eventide app across all three. Rotary Mod turns up in the drum and vocal passes, where she pushes it to an intense setting before saying it suits organ sounds better than anything she has it on.
Worth knowing
It is the cheapest app in the range and the one Jade spends least time with here. Organs and keys are where she expects it to sit; a vocal is not its natural home.
