What it does

A pattern groovebox aimed at thrash, punk and goth, with two guitar tracks, bass, synth and two drum tracks sharing its own built-in sounds. Notes are entered by tapping, with a power control that sets each one between an open chord and a muted chug, and riffs can run four sections long with loop length chosen per track. Generators fill tracks from random scales, arpeggios and euclidean patterns, and modifiers shuffle, rescale and transpose while it plays. Loops are sampled internally and exported through AudioShare, email or Audiocopy.

In the demo

Jade clears the whole project, then builds a riff note by note, sets chug levels against open chords, and generates whole arrangements to see what comes back. She samples the results out and assembles them into a track in Logic.

Worth knowing

It is standalone, not an AUv3, so it works by export rather than in a host. Sampled loops sometimes arrive with a gap at the start, which she fixes by sampling again.
