What it does
An eight-track groovebox where each track picks from a set of synth engines, including kick, snare, clap, cymbal, resonator, bass and a Slice engine that chops imported samples. Patterns group into parts and parts into songs, and a randomizer can rework a single step, a track or a whole song, with a panel deciding what it may touch. It runs standalone or as a multi-output AUv3.
In the demo
Jade plays a finished track built entirely in the app, then starts from an empty project: drawing steps, pinning playback to one pattern, randomizing tracks live. She works through each synth engine, slices an imported sample, and generates a full song from one button press.
Worth knowing
The download is free with restrictions and the iPad full version is a $24.99 in-app purchase. The iPhone build is a separate download unlocking at $9.99, and the two are not universal. Jade lost audio twice and had to reload a saved project.
