DM10 Drum & Synth Machine

What it does

The successor to DM1, pairing a large library of drum kits with a bass synth and a lead synth on their own sequencer lanes. Lanes can be different lengths for polyrhythms, patterns chain into a song mode, and there are up to 45 patterns per session. Four effects slots cover overdrive, delay, reverb and filter, two assignable and two on the master, with XY automation per pattern. Drums, bass and lead each get their own output.

In the demo

Jade clears a project and rebuilds it, showing the lane lengths first, then records a bassline and a lead from her keyboard. She routes the bass output to King of Bass and the lead to another synth to show the engine can be bypassed, and draws in filter and overdrive automation across patterns.

Worth knowing

User kits and project renaming only work in the standalone app, not the AUv3. In Logic the internal sequencer does not play, so the kits are the draw there rather than the pattern side.
