What it does
Two independent stereo phasers that run as a stereo pair with their LFOs ninety degrees apart, in parallel and summed, or in series so the first feeds the second for the most dramatic sweep. Each has a rate, a depth and a mode switch from one to four that steps the intensity up. Width, drive and mix sit underneath as shared controls, and two built-in limiters keep the drive from peaking out.
In the demo
Jade builds up on a bare Ocidia synth patch so each control is audible, then moves to a Rhino metal tone, a Hammerhead drum loop and a screamed vocal. On the vocal she leans on the drive as a grit stage and finds a pitch-shift-like artifact in one preset.
Worth knowing
The App Store name is PhaseII, not the phonetic spelling, which makes it awkward to search for. The mode switch hides its parameters rather than exposing them.
