What it does
A synth engine driven by guitar input rather than amp modelling. It tracks the strings and generates saw, square and bright waveforms, with a blend against the dry signal, a spectral gate, octave and pitch shifting, a spectrum-splitting drop, a doubler, filters, an amp with gate and overdrive, and effects covering delay, modulation, impulse response reverbs and cabinets. It also accepts MIDI, so other apps can play the engine. Version 2 adds an EQ page and over 250 presets.
In the demo
Jade plays her own guitar through it for most of the show, pointing out how closely it follows bends, chords and finger tapping. An earlier episode covers version 1, where she sets the latency knob near 20 percent for guitar and runs its 75 presets.
Worth knowing
Own impulse responses cannot be imported. A free Test PD Space Guitar version exists: standalone only, fewer presets, and sound only while it is on screen.
