HollowTone

What it does

A procedural ambient instrument that uses no samples. Five layers, Mist Root, Grain Steps, Hollow Pulse, Flow Morph and Veil Breath, generate air, glitch pulses, resonance, liquid motion and breathy vocal tones in real time, each with about nine dials, an LFO and its own reverb. Nine macros gather those dials into performance controls.

In the demo

Jade resets to the init patch, mutes everything and walks each layer dial by dial so every parameter is audible on its own. She then stacks macro assignments across layers, runs the harmonic ratio presets, and switches on Use Input to push a piano and a drum loop through Grain Steps as an effect.

Worth knowing

Only Hollow Pulse and Veil Breath are pitched, each covering about two octaves, so this is drones and texture rather than a playable keyboard instrument. Macro slots route forward only, and the layers have no solo button.
