What it does

An ambient drone instrument and effect where a spaceship flies a figure-8 path from Earth to the Moon and back, morphing the sound through five stages. Five systems (Engines, Hull, LSS, Nav, Comms) carry across every stage, twelve Tune knobs cover cutoff, drive, tilt EQ, envelope, modulation and reverb, and Trip automation pins knob values to points along the route. Trips run 10 to 300 seconds, looped or single pass.

In the demo

Jade holds one note in AUM and lets a 62-second trip play through untouched. She then builds a patch from silence one system at a time, draws automation dots for several knobs, plays it from a keyboard with glide, and loads the effect version over Sightlines and EverSpace.

Worth knowing

The sound is tied to the journey, so it suits evolving pads and cinematic beds more than played melodic parts. The POV tilt uses the iPad’s accelerometer, so it is iPad-only.
