Overloud TH-U

What it does

A guitar and bass rig builder, standalone and AUv3, where you chain amp heads, cabinets, stompboxes and studio processors in any order. Pinching out shows the whole chain, and tapping a component opens its own panel of sliders rather than knobs. Cabinets carry movable microphones with angle and an XY position, and either mic slot can be swapped for your own impulse response. A splitter runs two rigs side by side into a mixer.

In the demo

Jade plugs an electric guitar into an interface and works through the tones that come with the free download, then restores her purchases and runs the paid banks, including song specific tones. She adds a harmonizer by category, reorders pedals by long press, builds a split rig, and finishes on bass.

Worth knowing

The download is free with a limited set of amps and pedals. Everything else is a paid in app purchase, sold as a full unlock or as individual packs, and Jade notes that desktop owners get the iOS unlock cheaper.
