What it does
An eight-voice synth in the spirit of the organismic hardware concept, played from multitouch pads with contact-area pressure or Apple Pencil rather than a keyboard. Each voice has continuous unquantised tuning, waveform morphing and drift, and voice pairs can cross-modulate into closed FM loops. A Hyper LFO, dual modulated delay with self-oscillation and an overdrive sit at the end of the chain, and an FX version processes external audio.
In the demo
Jade works through the init patch in AUM, pinning voices with the virtual coins, tuning the drone groups in cents, then pushing cross-modulation, the Hyper LFO and total feedback until it gets wild. She also plays it from a MIDI keyboard with the voices quantised, and runs Foam through the FX version.
Worth knowing
There are no scales or quantisation in the design, so it suits drones and textures more than melodic parts. A $9.99 desktop version is sold from the developer’s site.
