MultiTrack Recorder

What it does

An eight-track audio recorder that runs standalone or as an AUv3, so it can sit inside a host like AUM or Logic and record whatever passes through it. Each track has volume, EQ, pan and a light reverb or delay, or can be routed out to its own bus. Clips can be trimmed, split, normalised, reversed, time stretched and pitch shifted, with punch in and punch out and an audio pool kept per song.

In the demo

Jade starts from an AUM project with her own vocal harmonies recorded into it, then explains the difference between loading it as an instrument for playback and as an effect for recording. She works through the audio pool, sends tracks out to separate AUM channels, punches a drum part in over an existing take, and repeats the setup in Logic, NanoStudio and Sessions.

Worth knowing

The effects are deliberately light and there is no automation beyond drawing volume and fades onto a clip. Remote loop points appear only in the MIDI version of the plugin, and host sync and remote cannot both be on at once.
