What it does

A grid-based clip sequencer that hosts AUv3 instruments and effects, records MIDI, and maps to external MIDI controllers. Version 3.0 adds audio tracks as a separate unlock: record from an input, import files, convert MIDI clips to audio, and edit clips with crop, split, transpose, normalize, markers and time stretch, all following project tempo.

In the demo

Jade covers only the new audio side. She builds a piano clip through Scaler 3 and Pianoteq, drags it to an audio track, imports a 133 BPM Playbeat loop that auto-matches 120, then records guitar and vocals live through AUv3 effects, changing BPM on the fly as it plays.

Worth knowing

The free download needs both the $9.99 MIDI unlock and the $9.99 audio unlock for what is shown here. Other demos cover the rest. Version 2.0 added the master track, song mode with per-section time signatures, Ableton Link, automation, piano roll chord generation, MIDI import by drag, and export as a mix, stems, MIDI or an Ableton Live set. The launch demo covers what has not changed: mapping a hardware surface to the transport and mixer, drawing and quantizing notes, per-track parameter knobs, and saved track templates.
