Loopy Pro

What it does

A live looper that also works as a clip launcher, sampler, sequencer, AUv3 host and AUv3 plugin. The interface is built from widgets you place yourself: loops, one-shots, buttons, faders and grids, colour-matched to mixer channels, with actions such as reverse, speed and pitch bound to them. MIDI learn covers external controllers, and control profiles swap several controllers in and out.

In the demo

Jade builds a blank layout from scratch, records vocals and overdubs from a mic, then runs Loopy Pro as an effect inside AUM, capturing drums, chords and vocals off numbered input buses. She finishes on the update’s auxiliary outputs, routing individual clips out to their own AUM channels for outboard processing.

Worth knowing

The app is free to download and unlocks with one purchase carrying twelve months of updates; after that a yearly upgrade is optional and everything already paid for stays. The depth is the trade, so it is not a quick pedal replacement. Version 2.0 has since added MIDI clips with a piano roll on the canvas, polyphonic clip playback from a keyboard, plugin panels that dock to the screen edges, and automation recorded live from widgets.
