Moondrift

What it does

A small ambient pack for SoundBox, AudioModern’s free sampler platform for iPad and desktop, and part of Kompose Audio’s Fusion Collection. It holds three presets, two leads and a pad, each supplied at 440 Hz and at 432 Hz, so every one appears twice in the list. The mod wheel is mapped to thin the tone out, and the pad preset carries a long attack for slow swells.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM inside a Christmas track alongside Skyfire, Kompose Audio’s Soul Player and the Spacewalk chord app. She solos each preset over those chords, switches between the two tunings, drops the pitch on the second lead, and works the mod wheel.

Worth knowing

This is a handful of atmospheres rather than a playable instrument library, so it suits scoring and drifting textures. SoundBox itself is free, but saving and importing stay locked until one pack is bought inside the app.
