What it does

A vocal replacement plugin that runs its models on the iPad rather than sending audio away to a server. A recorded vocal goes in and a chosen voice comes out, with a mix dial against the dry take, a tuning scale, performance and speed dials for how hard it corrects, a gate, and a chain of compressor, delay, chorus, reverb, soft clipper and gain. Models cover singers, robot and vocoder voices, spoken word readers, and instruments including trombone, sax and slap bass.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM and Logic on her own vocal, compares buffer settings to show why singing through it live does not work, hums lines into the instrument models, reads a script through the spoken word voices, and side chains a second instance into a MIDI track for a harmony.

Worth knowing

It needs an M series iPad, crashed repeatedly on Jade’s M2 during the stream, and downloads free with a one hour trial before the unlock.
