Harmony Eight

What it does

A harmonizer that builds up to eight pitch shifted voices from one input. Each voice takes a shift of up to an octave in semitones or cents, a formant control moving its character between male and female, its own delay with free or tempo synced time, a regeneration amount, volume, pan and a front to back placement that trades dry level against reverb. An ensemble chorus, compressor, gate, limiter and parametric EQ sit on the output, and separate pitch tracking modes cover mono vocals, polyphonic material, transients and drums.

In the demo

Jade sings into it and watches the keyboard display follow her pitch, then stacks thirds, sevenths and octaves out across the stereo field. She runs the presets, including one that staggers voices across sixteenth notes like a strum, and finishes by putting it on a drum machine and a piano part.

Worth knowing

It has not been updated in years. There is no blank init patch, so it opens on one of the wilder presets until you save your own, and the AUv3 window clips at the top when stretched to full height.
