What it does
A waveform editor for one file at a time. Audio arrives by tapping the cat, by the open button or by dragging from Files in split screen, and selections can be trimmed, cut, copied, pasted, silenced, normalized, reversed, inverted or nudged a decibel at a time. There are four fade shapes plus auto crossfade, a filter section covering low pass with resonance, notch, shelves, band pass and a graphic EQ, resampling, a time or beat ruler with tempo calculation, and recording from an interface.
In the demo
Jade works from a Magic Keyboard and leans on the shortcut list. She layers four stems into one file by dragging each in and picking Mix, calculates the tempo from a selection so beat markers appear, then resamples down to 8 kHz and back up to 96 to get a ring modulated texture out of it.
Worth knowing
Saving and sharing sit behind a one-time purchase, though everything else is open to try. It holds a single track, hosts no AUv3 effects, shows no meters, and recording cannot overdub while playback runs.
