What it does

A lo-fi library for the free Decent Sampler, built from 50 sources recorded to vintage microcassette recorders. Every preset layers source A against source B with a balance between them, separate tuning across two octaves, level and pan per source, a choice of speaker emulations, a filter with its own ADSR, and delay, chorus and reverb. Tape hiss and wobble are part of the recordings rather than an effect on top.

In the demo

Jade opens with a project built almost entirely from the pack, then takes one preset apart control by control, stretching attacks into pads and retuning sources. She ends by stacking three instances in AUM under sequencers and a drum part.

Worth knowing

It needs Decent Sampler, free on iOS and desktop, plus an account to download from the in-app store. Parameters exposed to an AUv3 host are unnamed, so she finds the filter by its value range. Anyone after clean sources should look elsewhere.
