Lyran Soundscapes V2

What it does

A pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler, the second Lyran Soundscapes volume from Cinematic Alpha, written for meditative and cinematic work. It holds 10 individual pad sources and 10 combis that layer four of those sources at once, 20 presets all up. The download carries both a wave version and a FLAC version for iPads with less room to spare.

In the demo

Jade plays a short Logic piece made with the pack, then imports it into SoundBox and works through the singles before the combis. She pulls attack down to show how to stop the pads arriving late in a track, points out aftertouch on the onscreen keyboard, changes the vector shape and syncs it to host tempo, and swaps layers for sounds from other packs.

Worth knowing

These are slow, evolving pads set up for meditation, so they come in late by default and need editing for anything sitting on a tight grid. SoundBox itself is free but stays locked until you buy one of AudioModern’s own packs inside the app.
