Lyran Soundscapes V1

What it does

The first Lyran Soundscapes volume for SoundBox, AudioModern’s free sampler, written by Cinematic Alpha for cosmic sound design and meditation. It holds ten individual pad sources and ten animated combinations that layer two of those sources at a time, with granular scraping and heavy internal movement built into the patches. The whole pack is around 240 MB.

In the demo

Jade plays a piece she made with it in E minor, then imports the pack in standalone SoundBox and takes the individual sounds before the combis. She previews a source with its vector off to hear it unmoved, adds reverb from the pack’s own effects rack, and finds SoundBox’s multi outputs while loading it in Logic.

Worth knowing

These are slow evolving textures aimed at meditation and horror scoring rather than articulated instruments, and Jade notes a load pause of a second or two when switching between them.
