What it does

An ambient pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler with several presets of slow, evolving soundscapes. Each is built from layers that can be auditioned, muted or replaced with sounds from other packs, and one hides a piano tone under the pads. Attacks are long, so notes bloom in rather than speak straight away.

In the demo

Jade plays the presets from a keyboard in AUM, previewing one before loading and waiting for the name to change colour, which is how SoundBox signals it is ready. She mutes layers inside a preset to expose the piano underneath, then drops in a different sound to show how much one layer shifts the whole thing.

Worth knowing

This is the first Lumen pack; Kompose Audio later released a second volume. The slow attacks make it poor for anything rhythmic, and loading takes a beat, which Jade prefers to instability. SoundBox is free, with editing unlocked by an AudioModern pack bought in the app.
