What it does
A preset-space synth that generates atmospheric material rather than letting you build a patch from oscillators. Each preset is a numbered seed holding eight sample textures with differing loop lengths, so the combined sound rarely repeats. Layer volumes, attack, release, stereo width, reverb, echo, glide and EQ are the controls, and layers can be locked before rerolling the seed.
In the demo
Jade runs four instances at once for a soundscape, then strips a patch back to hear each layer alone. She locks the layers she wants to keep, holds a chord into a drone, and MIDI maps an external LFO to two layer volumes so the texture keeps shifting.
Worth knowing
Sounds are found by seed number rather than designed, and the file and preset system uses a text-based folder browser that Jade wrestles with on camera. Anyone who wants direct control over synthesis should look elsewhere.
