What it does

A sample-based drum machine recreating the 1980s Sound Master Latin Percussion unit: bass drum, low and high conga, bongo, claves and maracas, each with pitch, pan and level, plus overdrive, reverb and a step sequencer with adjustable length, per-line randomization and a bank of patterns.

In the demo

Jade runs it in AUM, soloing each sound and pitching it, dials in the reverb, then works the sequencer: loading patterns, copying lines between sounds, drawing steps, and setting lines to re-randomize at the end of every pass. She also runs it through the Ossuary effect and shows the keyboard start and stop mapping.

Worth knowing

Dragging the sequencer’s MIDI out into a host did not work on iPad in the demo, though it is a desktop feature. Six sounds is the whole kit, so it is a flavour on top of a drum track, not a full percussion library.
