Jordan Rudess Preset Pack for SampleWiz 2

What it does

A preset pack for BLEASS SampleWiz 2 drawn from Jordan Rudess’s own samples, bought as an in-app purchase from inside the app. It spreads across pianos, organs, mellotrons, toy keys, bowed and plucked strings, glitch and scrape textures, lo-fi vocals, and patches marked hold, which use long sources meant to be sustained like soundscapes. They load from SampleWiz 2’s preset list and can be edited or pointed at a different sample.

In the demo

Jade plays the pack alphabetically from a MIDI keyboard, which takes up most of the show, shifting octaves on the stranger patches and opening one to show how little of its sample is actually being read. She notes the variety and that this pack holds far more patches than the others released alongside it.

Worth knowing

SampleWiz 2 is a separate purchase and the pack downloads inside it. The sounds skew toward character and oddity rather than clean multisampled instruments, so anyone needing a straight piano will want to look elsewhere.
