What it does
A convolution plugin whose impulse responses come from a neural network rather than IR files. Three modes, guitar cabinet, bass cabinet and reverb, each with presets, gain, low and high pass filters and wet and dry levels. Two draggable points set the tone character and a secondary shaper, and the sound re-renders a moment after each move.
In the demo
Jade runs it in Logic Pro after Rhino, with Rhino’s IRs off and then on, as the cab or as an extra shaping stage. She steps through Marshall and Mesa Boogie presets, puts bass mode on a Gig Bear bass track, reverb on drums and piano, then plays live guitar and sings through it in AUM.
Worth knowing
Shaping is by ear from two points, not by picking named IR files, so loading your own captured cabinets needs a separate loader. The free download is limited until the $4.99 unlock.
