Indian Drummer

What it does

A virtual tabla player that generates and improvises rhythms rather than looping a fixed pattern. Banks are filtered by timing, so choosing a signature narrows the rhythms offered, and the tabla sounds come tuned to different keys to suit a song. Tempo, swing and a jam intensity control sit across the top, with compression, EQ, delay and reverb, an edit grid for drawing hits, live pads, and a song mode.

In the demo

Jade opens it standalone and again as Inter-App Audio inside AUM, showing what the missing AUv3 costs in extra steps. She works through tempo entry, the jam section that sets bars before a fill and when a crash lands, stores kits onto live pads, then builds a song from saved parts and exports it as multitrack stems into AudioShare and as a full mix. She closes by recording a long jam into Neon.

Worth knowing

There is no AUv3, so it runs standalone or through Inter-App Audio and records as audio. MIDI export carries the patterns but not the sounds, and an exported mix must match the project tempo.
