iFX Rack

What it does

A rack style effects host modelled on vintage analog hardware, built around the VKFX suite licensed from Overloud. Two slots each hold five rack mounts, followed by a master chain slot for a limiter, compressor and EQ. Effects are grouped by reverb, delay, distortion, stereo, EQ, amp, tuning, dynamics and miscellaneous, each with its own presets, and effects that need a paid pack show greyed out in the list. Factory presets are organised by source instrument and fill both slots at once.

In the demo

Jade uninstalls and reinstalls to show the base purchase first, loads an acoustic guitar preset and plays through it, then restores her in app purchases and covers the added effects. She loads her own impulse responses into Impulse Station, runs Fantasy Verb on vocals, and opens the app in GarageBand at the end.

Worth knowing

The initial purchase covers a modest set. CloudVerb, the impulse loader, TalkBox, a filter, an amp and the bonus effects bundle are separate in app purchases, and Jade flags the reverbs as processor hungry when several are stacked.
