Haze

What it does

A sound pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox built from recordings of a felted upright piano, then taken apart by reshaping the attack of each sample. The result is a set of broken, drifting, heavily lo-fi versions of the instrument rather than a clean piano, leaning cinematic and often close to horror.

In the demo

Jade starts with an AUM project running two Haze tracks under soft drums and guitars, then imports the pack into SoundBox from her external drive and plays every patch in order, opening on Rainy Day. Because patches sustain and drift, she mostly holds single notes and small chords.

Worth knowing

Sonora Cinematic gives it away with a qualifying purchase from their store rather than selling it on its own, so what it costs depends on what else you buy. SoundBox itself is free but stays partly locked until you own one paid AudioModern pack.
