Hardwell Producer Pack

What it does

A free Apple producer pack for Logic Pro and GarageBand built around EDM, put together by the Dutch DJ and producer Hardwell. It brings more than 400 Apple Loops, five drum kits, Alchemy synth patches and a Live Loops grid, covering kicks, hats, toppers, claps, risers, basses, leads and vocal sweepers. Some of it arrives as MIDI rather than audio.

In the demo

Jade downloads it from the GarageBand sound library, then works in Logic Pro on iPad. She triggers the Live Loops grid row by row to hear the whole pack, filters the loop browser down to Hardwell, stacks kick, hat, topper and snare loops into a drum bed, records a kit in by hand and quantizes it, then builds a track over the top.

Worth knowing

The loops are royalty free, and Jade notes that releasing one untouched leaves everyone else holding the same record. The content is dance-focused, so it is not where to look for guitar or acoustic material.
