GSDSP Quantum Distortion

What it does

Four distortion blocks in one plugin: a drive with an asymmetry control, a ring modulator, a bit crusher whose bit warp spreads resolution across the signal level, and a downsampler with jitter. Each has its own tone and filter and can be soloed or reordered, and a dot in the centre of the panel blends between all four. Eight modulation slots feed LFOs, followers, sample and hold, strange attractors and an accelerometer source to almost any parameter.

In the demo

Jade builds from the init patch, taking each block on its own over a synth pad before mixing them, then routes LFOs into the drive and the blend dot so the texture keeps moving. She closes by running a finished song through it at light and extreme settings.

Worth knowing

The layout assumes you will patch modulation yourself, so anyone wanting a single drive knob has more here than they need. A desktop version for Mac and PC is sold from the GSDSP site.
