GlitchScaper

What it does

A rhythm and glitch machine with six sound generators, each driven by a two-layer cycle sequencer. Per generator, a sequence page sets steps, beat length and pulse placement, a tone page picks a tone, a noise colour or an audio input, and later pages add comb filtering, ring modulation, resolution crushing, reverb and echo. Make sequence and make tone roll fresh settings inside limits you set first, such as frequent or rare pulses, power or prime step counts, scratchy or smooth tones.

In the demo

Jade builds from the init patch, turning one generator up and walking its pages before randomizing the others. She copies a kick out of a beat preset into one slot, builds a snare from the noise source in another, then loads the app in an effect slot to glitch a tone coming from Augen X.

Worth knowing

Knobs are two-tier, with a second parameter under the first, and a preset does nothing until Set is pressed. The same purchase runs on Apple silicon Macs. Jade also covers it inside her Igor Vasiliev roundup alongside Stellarvox and LoopMangler.
