Glacium

What it does

An Arctic themed pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler, made of long evolving atmospheres rather than playable instruments. Each preset stacks layers that can be muted, remapped or swapped for sounds from other packs, and the material runs from icy pads to ice sound effects. Playing harder opens the layers up, so aftertouch does real work.

In the demo

Jade installs the pack from an external SSD, then plays it from a keyboard in AUM, holding chords while the volumes swell and fade. She runs the presets, stops on Ice Tide, swaps a layer for a vocal from another pack, and shows the modulation, arpeggiation and vector pages that open once SoundBox is unlocked.

Worth knowing

Everything here is spacey and atmospheric, not orchestral, and the slow attacks mean notes take a moment to arrive. SoundBox is free, but editing and sample import need an official AudioModern pack bought inside it.
