What it does

A player for SF2 SoundFont files that stacks four of them into one patch. Each layer gets its own instrument, MIDI channel, transpose, keyboard range, filter, envelope, tuning, reverb, delay, chorus, auto pan and tremolo. A search index covers every SoundFont it can see, and disk streaming plays large files off an external drive instead of loading them into RAM.

In the demo

Jade downloads a free guitar SoundFont mid-show and imports it two ways, by dragging from Files and by dropping it onto a linked drive. She then builds a patch layer by layer, splits the keyboard so guitars sit below bells, and uses scenes to change instrument while chords are still sounding.

Worth knowing

It ships with almost no content of its own, so the sounds depend on SoundFonts you find and import. Anyone who wants a curated library rather than a collection to manage will want a sampled instrument instead.
