What it does
An automatic double tracking effect, the old studio trick of faking a second overdub. It combines a short delay, stereo spread and modulated drift, with an on and off button, a bank of presets, user preset saving and a randomize button. There are no other controls.
In the demo
Jade puts it on a spoken vocal through her pod mic first, switching presets so the thickening is audible against the dry signal, then moves it to a classical 12 string guitar part. Later she loads it in Logic on two different lead vocals and A and B tests it against the untreated track.
Worth knowing
It runs very light on CPU, which is the reason to reach for it on an older iPad. Jade points out she would still track a real double and use this on a third layer, so anyone expecting it to replace an actual overdub should watch that section first. A paid sequel, FakeTake 2, adds wider delay and modulation ranges and a third voice.
