What it does
An ambient soundscape instrument built from five layers, Core, Flow, Grain, Shard and Glow, each running a different algorithm over a sample. Core holds sustained drones, Grain breaks a file into grains, Shard chops melodic fragments through a looper, and Glow adds high metallic content. Every layer has presence, tone, density, detune and reverb with LFOs, and a tail stage sits on the output. It runs standalone, where it also records, and as an AUv3.
In the demo
Jade builds from the init patch, soloing each layer so its controls are audible alone, then runs the randomizer across everything, parameters only or samples only. She sets a layer to input so it records whatever is fed into it, imports her own samples, and steps through the sequencer with glide and fade transitions.
Worth knowing
Imported samples need the layer name at the front of the file name or randomization drops them into any layer, and files cannot be renamed inside the app.
