Entropy Volume 1

What it does

The first Entropy volume for SoundBox, AudioModern’s free sampler, built by Cinematic Alpha with its DOVInst technique. Ten individual presets and ten combis pair recorded sources, among them cellos, violins, violas, a coil bass, an intimate piano and bagpipes, with generated textures layered over them. The download carries a wave pack and a smaller FLAC version.

In the demo

Jade opens with a four instance SoundBox arrangement she tracked the night before, then imports the pack from inside the AUv3 and plays the individual patches from a keyboard. She swaps a lane for a sound from another pack, spends a while on the piano, and finishes on the combis.

Worth knowing

Individual patches load one lane, which leaves room to layer other packs in, while the combis arrive full. Key ranges are narrow and differ per patch, so a short keyboard will miss some of them.
