EG Nodes

What it does

A clip-based groovebox built around nodes. Each node holds one AUv3 instrument plus a generator that drives it: note chord, arpeggio, sequencer, rhythm grid, piano roll, generative or MIDI effects. Nodes send MIDI to each other, to hardware and to other apps, and eight programs per node store scenes to switch between live. It runs standalone or as an AUv3 MIDI source.

In the demo

Jade starts from an empty patch and takes each node type in turn, mapping sliders and XY pads onto hosted parameters, recording generative output into a piano roll and editing it there. She then loads it in AUM, where every node claims its own MIDI channel, and bounces a jam to AudioShare.

Worth knowing

Three later episodes cover the updates: song mode with named, reorderable scene nodes, then piano roll clip copying, ghost notes, scale lock and mix group buses feeding a master track, then an audio sampler and mic input node for recording and warping samples.
