DynaBit

What it does

A bit crusher and sample rate reducer with a multimode filter and a stutter section on top. Sample rate reduction has a Nyquist filter and smoothing, bit reduction has a range gain and wrap to restore the amplitude that crushing removes. The repeat block triggers from a threshold, holds up to 64 repeats, syncs or runs free, and can freeze. Two LFOs, two 64-step sequencers, two envelopes and a MIDI source drag onto most controls.

In the demo

Jade works on an R&B drum loop, building from the init patch through each section, then drags modulators onto the cutoff, sample rate and repeat mix. She runs the base, drum, glitch and tonal preset banks, and finishes on guitar.

Worth knowing

Some presets get loud enough that Jade puts a limiter after it. Preset importing and sharing only work from the standalone app, not from the AUv3, and the randomiser has no parameter locks.
