What it does

A songwriting sketchpad built around chord progressions. A song is a stack of named sections, each holding a progression picked from a prebuilt list or drawn chord by chord, with its own key, tempo, time signature and playing style for guitar, bass, keys and drums. Lyrics attach to the sections, audio records straight in over the playback, and a small mixer adds reverb, compression, auto-tune and panning. Exports cover a printable chord sheet, a mixdown, and MIDI and audio stems.

In the demo

Jade opens it fresh, walks through setup and the co-writing invite, then builds a song from a prebuilt progression and a custom one. She writes lyrics against the sections, sings the take on her iPhone once the iPad offers her no input, lets iCloud carry it back, and drags the exported MIDI into Logic.

Worth knowing

The layout is drawn for the iPhone and only stretched on iPad, and the download is free with a subscription behind it.
