What it does
A reverse delay that writes the input into a buffer and reads it back backwards, with separate delay times for the left and right channels running from 250 milliseconds to 2.5 seconds. Feedback, modulation, stereo spread and mix sit underneath, with a lock that ties the two channels together. Because the playback heads are always moving, a repeat can land almost immediately rather than waiting out the set time. A soft bypass lets existing repeats trail off instead of cutting them.
In the demo
Jade runs it on electric guitar in Logic and AUM, then vocals, piano, saxophone and drums, mostly with a large reverb after it. She opens each preset to show the dial positions behind the sound, and demonstrates the trails on a held chord.
Worth knowing
There is no tempo sync, so lining it up with a drum part means dialling times by ear. It suits washed, shoegaze textures more than tight rhythmic echoes.
