Cineplucks

What it does

A sound pack for AudioModern’s SoundBox sampler drawing on plucked and struck instruments, among them oud, koto, African kora, hang, acoustic guitar and Celtic harp, captured with Cinematic Alpha’s DOVInst method to keep the memory footprint down. Many of the presets are arpeggio patches that run from a single held chord; the rest are straight played layers spread across the keyboard with velocity switching.

In the demo

Jade imports the 6.49 GB pack from the Files app and plays every preset in turn, soloing SoundBox’s four channels so each layer is audible alone. She swaps an acoustic guitar sample from another pack into a spare channel, then takes it into AUM and builds a generative piece with a scale sequencer and reverb.

Worth knowing

It needs SoundBox, which is free but only unlocks fully once an AudioModern pack is bought. At the time of the demo SoundBox was freezing when a second instance changed sounds, and Jade shows the order of loading she uses to get around it.
