What it does

A choir library for SoundBox, AudioModern’s free sampler, from Kompose Audio. It shipped with ten playable presets, five alto and five soprano, each on a vowel articulation, Ah, Eh, Ih, Mm and Oh, plus a whispers preset for unpitched texture. Each preset layers close and mid positions and a ribbon. The store page now lists twenty one presets, so the free update Jade mentions has landed.

In the demo

Jade plays the altos, then the sopranos, then the whispers from a keyboard, flagging that each preset covers only a narrow band of keys. She adds vocal phrases from other packs into spare layers, and drives the whole thing from Scaler for chord progressions.

Worth knowing

That narrow key range per preset is the thing to plan around. The presets arrive without effects, so shaping happens in SoundBox or the host.
